Hi,

sorry for the late answer. Due to Easter and very good weather, I
wasn't much at home.

Ahh shoot, I hoped that the dirvish.conf could override the excludes
from the master.conf like it does with other settings like xdev.

This would be a nice feature to have in future versions – maybe by
letting dirvish put the vault's excludes/includes at the *top* of the
exclude list it gives to rsync, instead of the bottom like it is now?
Or even an option to toggle this, with the "bottom" mode as default to
avoid breaking existing dirvish solutions?

But until then (if ever), I'll have to work around that. I wanted to
avoid putting a general exclusion like for /media in *every* vault
only because one out of many that needs /media. The easiest way I can
think of at the moment is to mount the external media somewhere else
and clear the xdev setting in this particular dirvish.conf. Any other
ideas?

Many thanks for helping me pin down the reason behind this effect.
