[Dirvish] evaluating encrypting dirvish banks (disks)

Has anyone used truecrypt in conjunction with dirvish?

What are your thoughts on issues related with using truecrypt with 
dirvish drives -- especially the ones that get sent off-site?

Performance issues, fsck issues?  Are there any forseen compatibility 
issues with LVM, filesystems, rsync?
