Hi,
So my idea is to dedicate one server only for backup purposes for other server and the backup would be done with Dirvish. I've used Dirvish locally but I'm not sure how to do it via SSH so I want to make sure I've got it right.
The the dedicated backup server I will insert a bank(to the master.conf) for all the servers that need to backupped such as:
master.conf
bank
/server1
/server2
exclude
....
After this I will create an own default.conf to under every folder /serverx/root/dirvish and put to the client section the servers ip(or hostname? which one?)
After this I will create the necessary keys so that the SSH connection does not need to use passwords according to this howto: http://edseek.com/~jasonb/articles/dirvish_backup/transport.html#transportssh
After this it should be just basic configuration and everything should be done?
Regards,
Jarkko
