[Dirvish] Moving Dirvish Vaults (Was: Tuning my expiration dates)

Speaking of running out of space and having to migrate to larger drives,
is there a good way to move/copy Dirvish vaults to new drives while
preserving the hard-link relationships (so as not to expand the amount
of space used by the existing backups)?  I experimented with this
recently, using various flags to cp but, never ended up with anything
that worked correctly.

This is probably a FAQ but, I found no answers on dirvish.org.
