Dear Bernd,

This is probally caused due to some other problem.
I have been using dirvish for some time now and I backup and restore 
both UFS and UFS2 partitions <-> UFS 2 Partition.
Since the time I run dirvish I have never encounted these problems.
Are you sure it isn`t a disk problem (I/O errors)?
