[Dirvish] Expire Rules

I am starting to run out of room on my dirvish volume and I'm wondering
what the easiest way of cleaning it up is. Can I just rm -rf the older
directories or will that cause problems. Optimally, I'd like to just
change the expire date on the older backups and let dirvish-expire clean
it up for me, but I'm not sure if that is worth the effort or even
possible. What is the easiest/safest way to get this cleaned up. I
assume changing the expire time in my master.conf will only change new
backups, correct?
